A Message from our CEO, Leah Taaffe

Welcome to our 51st Edition of the newsletter.

The tenants of our fifth Opening Doors Project that opened in December 2023 have now moved in and are really enjoying their new homes.
We had a fantastic time at the 2024 Riverboats Music Festival in February. 27 volunteers manned our on-site marquee across the 3 days selling over 1,000 raffle tickets and preloved items; hats, blankets and sunglasses that had been sourced by our Recyclability team. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket, you helped us raise $5,170 from the raffle.

Our 16th Annual Fundraising Dinner was held on 29 February. Janine Shepherd was a fantastic speaker that had the audience mesmerised and inspired by her resilience. Our 250 guests had a wonderful evening donating and bidding, helping us to raise $79,932.

We are thrilled with this outcome, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of Moama Bowling Club, Ace Radio/2QN & Edge FM, AWM Echuca, Complete Scissor Lift Hire, Echuca Betta Home Living, Echuca Carpet Court, Forty Winks Echuca, Green Pedal Cycles, Mawsons Concrete & Quarries, Morley Auto Group, Riverine Herald, Murray River Council and Riverboats Music Festival as our event and major sponsors.
