Team Leader – Residential

We are seeking a Team Leader – Residential to help us make an impact. This role is perfect for someone looking to combine previous business experience and passion for empowering people.

You will be responsible for supporting people under the Looking After Children Principles and associated documentation, Children Youth and Families Act (2005), the Disability Act (2006), NDIS and Child Protection Guidelines.

Leadership, time and priority management skills are essential. The ability to negotiate, plan and implement supported decision making to ensure that our client is able to engage in supports that meet their individual care and support needs is an important part of this role.

You will lead a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to deliver support in a residential setting using the person-centred active support model. You will provide your staff with mentoring and work with your team to ensure individual support needs of our clients are met.

In your toolkit you will need:

  • Previous experience working in the disability, out of home care, child protection sector or similar
  • Understanding of current disability services and children youth and families legislation and standards
  • Experience in managing staff
  • An understanding of positive behaviour management
  • A strong commitment to CLRS vision and values

Ideally, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Child Youth & Family or equivalent
  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or equivalent, preferably at Diploma level

A NDIS Worker Screening Check and working with children check (Victorian) will be required before commencing – see NDIS Worker Screening check and evidence of three doses of COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption.
