Race Day Schedule

Sunday 2 August 2026

  • 6.30am: Registrations open
  • 8am: 21.1km and 10km race event commences at the same time
  • 9.15am: 5km race event commences
  • 10.30am: Frinkle Junior Bolt starts
  • 10.45am: Winners ceremony
  • 11am: Course closes and event finishes
  • 11.30am: Roads re open

 

Event warm up times 

21.1km and 10km – Pre-race warm up and event briefing at 7.40am – event starts on the bridge at 8am

5km – Pre-race warm up and event briefing at 9am – event starts at 9.15am

Frinkle Junior Bolt – Pre-race warm up and event briefing at 10.15am – event starts at 10.30am on the bridge

Helpful Information

Professional Timing

All event distances are professionally chip timed by Tomato Timing and the results can be found at their website after the event has finished.

Headphones

There WILL be other pedestrians and cyclists on the paths. We recommend you do not use headphones, but if you must run to music use just one earbud and keep the volume low. You need to pay close attention to everything around you. Please be aware of people, cyclists and pedestrians dogs.

No Dogs are permitted to complete any of these events with event participants. (Only assistant dogs and guide dogs are allowed)

Water Stations

We will have water stations throughout the course

  • Half Marathon: at 6.5km, 9.5km, 17.5km and 20.5km
  • 10km: at 6.5km and 9.5km
  • 5km: at 2.2km and 4.5km

Entry Fees and Refunds

All entry fees include GST and are not tax deductible.
A refund of 80% of registration fees paid will be available for any withdrawals more than 30 days prior to the event date.
No refunds are available within 30 days prior to the event date.

Transfers and Resale

Event Transfers are permitted and must be completed through the Race Roster Event listing.
A $10 administration fee will be applied to all transfers.

Refunds/credit notes cannot be issued for the difference in entry fee (if any) when downgrading your distance.
You must not offer your (or any other persons) Entry for sale through any medium, including auctions (on eBay or any other auctioning or similar means). All individuals involved in such conduct will be disqualified from the Event.

Event Day Filming and Photography

We will have a number of photographers on the course and at the race hub. We also have one of our Platinum Sponsors, Radiant Media Productions, taking video footage and drone footage on the day.
If you don’t wish for your photo to be used, please advise us before the event or on race day, at Race HQ we can give you a coloured wrist band to wear that signals to photographers not to take your photo. Some of these photos will be posted on our social media channels and may be used for marketing purposes for future event promotion.

Rubbish

Please use the bins located at the water stations to dispose of gel packets and other rubbish – do not litter on the course.

Not Permitted 

Strictly no bikes, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades or pets permitted on the course. Mobility aids are allowed.

Event Day Support

On the day, you will see a number of high-vis vests in a few different colours. They represent the following;

Chief Marshal – Bright pink

First Aid Officer – Bright Green

Deputy Marshal – Bright pink 

Race HQ Support – Bright pink 

Frinkle Junior Bolt

The Frinkle Junior Bolt event is aimed at getting youngsters involved in a great local community sporting event. Adults can run alongside their child if needed at no extra cost.
This event is not timed. All participants will receive a FREE Frinkle voucher (no finisher medal).

Frinkle is an ice cream parlour located inside the Moama Bowling Club. It offers a unique experience where customers can create their own desserts by choosing from a variety of ice creams, frozen yoghurt, and toppings. The parlour is designed for both young and old, allowing everyone to enjoy a personalised dessert experience.

Race bib collection

Race bibs can be collected either before event day or on race morning from the Race Hub at the Kerrabee Soundshell Precinct.

Coffee, Food and Drinks

One of our Platinum Sponsors, Beechworth Bakery, will be onsite with their delicious egg & bacon rolls, donuts and cold drinks for sale.

There will also be a coffee cart there from ‘Let’s Do Coffee’ for your caffeine hit.

Medal

Each finisher (except Frinkle Junior Bolt) will receive a custom made Run Echuca Moama medal at the finish line.

There will be FREE fruit and hydralyte at the end of the 21.1km, 10km and 5km events for participants.

Parking

There will be limited parking at the race hub, however there is plenty of parking options within a short walk from Race HQ.

Accommodation Discounts

Moama Riverside Holiday Park 10% off

Moama Riverside Holiday Park are offering a 10% discount on stay to Run Echuca Moama 2026 participants.
This park is a 2-minute walk to the event hub, located on the beautiful banks of the Murray River.

Please call them directly on 03 5482 3241 when booking so that they can apply the discount.

They may be able to offer an 11am checkout on Sunday 2 August subject to availability.

Please note they are unable to accept bookings for swags and tents as their head office has made the difficult decision to ban them from the park due to the risk of large tree branches falling.
