Alicia’s Story

Alicia commenced with CLRS in 2019 as a Direct Support Professional, bringing with her a background in nannying, office work and hospitality.   

Since joining CLRS, Alicia has become a familiar and trusted face at  5 Minor. During her employment, she has completed a  Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Disability, completing the placement components with CLRS. Alicia was also a part of the team of staff and clients who won the Cletus Gilmour Fundraising Award in 2022 for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

For Alicia, the most rewarding part of her role is helping clients achieve their goals. “There are always going to be some challenges, but to be a part of their achievements—however big or small—is the best.” 

She also treasures the connections she’s made along the way. “From staff to clients, their families and the people you meet in the community while supporting clients—it’s been amazing.”
