Charmaine’s Story

Charmaine joined CLRS in February 2024 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). In April 2025 she stepped into the role of  Acting Team Leader in Defined Programs. With a strong background in retail management, she was ready for a new direction and found herself drawn to the disability sector. “I needed something different. The DSP role in Defined Programs sounded fun and really rewarding.” 

Charmaine’s enthusiasm for her work is unmistakable. “I love it. The clients are amazing. I enjoy the tearoom chats, and watching clients grow, progress and succeed.” 

She’s especially passionate about helping clients build confidence and hopes to support them in taking steps toward employment. 

Currently completing a traineeship in Certificate III in Individual Support, Charmaine is committed to continuing her development and making a lasting impact in her role.
