Student Opportunities

Community Living & Respite Services is committed to providing meaningful learning and development opportunities for those interested in pursuing a career in the disability sector. 

Placement is available for school-based students including Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and work experience. As well as higher education provider students studying community services, disability, social work and similar fields of study. 

Many of our students go on to have successful careers with CLRS in various roles. 

Suitable students will be required to complete an interview and if successful, placed according to operational and placement requirements. Please note due to capacity we are unable to place all students however will do our very best to assist.

Student Requirements  

NDIS Worker Screening check

NDIS Worker Screening check is required for anyone over the age of 18. 

Covid Vaccine

Three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (or have an exemption) 

NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate  

How Your Student Placement Process Works

Step 1

Apply for a student placement below.

Share your placement needs, including preferred location, dates, hours - and upload any requred documents.

Step 2

We'll review your application for suitable opportunities.

In some cases, an interview with the supervising manager may be needed.

Step 3

If your placement is approved, you'll need to complete background checks and provide any required documents.

Step 4

Start your placement with us and gain great work experience!
